Since beginning of year, AFU have hit over 1,000 tanks of invaders — Syrskyi

Since the beginning of 2025, the army of the aggressor country russia has lost over a thousand tanks destroyed and damaged.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported this on April 25.

"Our soldiers are turning the tanks and armored vehicles of the Russian invaders into piles of burning scrap metal," Syrskyi wrote.

According to him, in almost four months of this year, the servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine have hit 1,031 tanks of the invaders.

Syrskyi published a video containing a cut of footage of the defeat of russian tanks on various sections of the front.

We will remind, earlier, on April 25, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces updated information on the losses of the russian army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The losses of the invaders in personnel are approaching 950,000 people.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in February this year, analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that the russian army managed to compensate for tank losses in 2024, but the pace of their destruction threatens the russians with problems in the near future.
