A member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and interparliamentary cooperation, Oleksandr Merezhko, believes that a possible war between India and Pakistan will negatively affect Ukraine's interests.
He said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.
"Any armed conflict negatively affects the general security situation in the world, and therefore, albeit indirectly, the interests of Ukraine," this is how he answered the question of how the conflict between India and Pakistan could affect Ukraine.
Merezhko emphasized that any war, including a possible conflict between India and Pakistan, negatively affects the general security situation in the world and indirectly the interests of Ukraine.
He noted that the war encourages potential aggressors to use force instead of respecting international law and does not see any positive consequences of such a conflict.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the United States of America is interested in peace between Pakistan and India, and the russian federation is interested in war.
