US demands that russia transfer control of Zaporizhzhia NPP to Ukraine, which will then be managed by Washington - Bloomberg

The US presidential administration believes that the aggressor country of russia must return control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to Ukraine, which has been under russian occupation since March 2022.

This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.

The agency's unnamed sources said that Washington demanded that Moscow transfer control of the Zaporizhzhia NPP to Ukraine.

After that, the plant will come under US control and will provide both sides with electricity.

According to the agency, Washington also wants to provide Ukraine with free access to the Dnieper River and return the territories of the Kharkiv Region, which are currently occupied by the russian army, to Kyiv's control.

According to the unnamed diplomats, the above steps are part of the US diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring Ukraine's sovereignty.

As a reminder, Bloomberg also reported that the US, as part of a peace agreement on Ukraine, is demanding that russia recognize Kyiv's right to have its own army and defense industry.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the day before, the russian dictator's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that russia was allegedly ready to immediately end the war if Ukraine withdrew its troops from the territory of four regions.
