The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Andrii Sybiha reacted to the combined attack of the aggressor country of russia on the night of April 24, stating that it is the russian federation that is an obstacle to peace and that it is Moscow, not Kyiv, that should be pressured. He wrote about this on the social network X.
"Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, targeting civilians in Kyiv and other areas. Yesterday’s russian maximalist demands for Ukraine to withdraw from its regions, combined with these brutal strikes, show that russia, not Ukraine, is the obstacle to peace. Moscow, not Kyiv, is where pressure should be applied," the minister wrote.
He added that the Ukrainian capital experienced a particularly horrible and loud night. Other cities and communities across Ukraine were also shelled by russian missiles and drones in the middle of the night, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries.
"Putin demonstrates through his actions, not words, that he does not respect any peace efforts and only wants to continue the war. Weakness and concessions will not stop his terror and aggression. Only strength and pressure will," Sybiha stressed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of April 24, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with various types of air-, land- and sea-based missiles, as well as Shahed strike UAVs and other types of simulator drones. The main target of the strike was the city of Kyiv. The Air Force's radio-technical troops detected and tracked 215 enemy air targets.
