Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal arrived in the US to discuss financing of Ukraine in 2026. Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Together with the government team, we are starting work in Washington at the Spring Meetings 2025 of the World Bank and the IMF. Meetings with representatives of the financial and business circles of the US and EU are planned. Thanks to the systematic work of the government team with partners, Ukraine's financing needs for this year are closed. During the Spring Meetings, we will discuss Ukraine's needs for 2026," he said.
Shmyhal noted that special attention will be paid to financing recovery, confiscation of frozen russian assets, and attracting investments to strengthen Ukraine's financial stability.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukraine's memorandum with the United States provides for Shmyhal's visit to Washington on April 21-27 to complete discussions on the agreement on creating an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
