Occupiers transferred equipment and manpower from Crimea to Zaporizhzhia Region, taking advantage of ceasefire – Defense Forces

Russian occupation troops, taking advantage of the ceasefire, transferred equipment and manpower from Crimea to the Zaporizhzhia Region. The russian troops are expected to intensify assault operations along the entire southern front line.

The spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, has stated this.

"In the Zaporizhzhia Region – these are the Huliaipole, Novopavlivka and Orikhiv axes – the enemy continues active assault operations, especially on the Novopavlivka axis, carrying out assault operations in the direction of Pryvilne, Vilne Pole. There were 17 assault operations there over the past day. In addition, the enemy is quite active on the Orikhiv axis. It is carrying out assault operations in the direction of Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lepkove. Therefore, indeed, taking advantage of the so-called Easter truce, the ceasefire, the enemy has regrouped forces and means, brought up the personnel of the assault detachments, their weapons, and combat equipment to the front lines, and continues to conduct assault operations by small groups of infantry," Voloshyn noted.

According to him, the enemy is gathering, regrouping, and transferring a certain amount of forces and means from both Crimea and russia in order to continue assault operations.

"We record that the number of weapons, military equipment and assault groups has increased on all southern axes, and, in particular, on the Zaporizhzhia axes – these are Huliaipole, Novopavlivka and Orikhiv axes, and we also record an increase in the number of these assault groups on the Dnieper axis in the area of the village of Oleshky. Therefore, we do not exclude that there will be an intensification of assault operations in Zaporizhzhia itself, and the enemy will also increase its activity on the Kherson axis. After all, it is currently accumulating forces and means, carrying out logistical measures, and constantly conducting reconnaissance," Voloshyn said.

It is also reported that the enemy's current forces and means are not yet enough for a powerful offensive, but are quite sufficient for carrying out assault operations by small groups of infantry using combat equipment.

According to him, a special place in providing the enemy's assault groups is currently occupied by light motorized vehicles.

"According to our intelligence, a special place is occupied by such light-engine vehicles as motorcycles, buggies, and quadricycles, which the enemy has recently begun to actively use in conducting assault operations. These vehicles can be used to quickly move across the field, they have high maneuverability, and they are quite difficult to hit or destroy with both firepower and drones and FPV drones. Therefore, the enemy has begun to use them quite actively," Voloshyn detailed.
