Fighters of 128th Zakarpattia Brigade repel massive assault by combined group of russians on Zaporizhzhia axis

The massive assault by a combined group of russian troops on the Zaporizhzhia axis was a disaster. In the evening, columns of enemy equipment with infantry advanced on Ukrainian positions (in particular, the sector held by the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade). Their total number is over three hundred assault vehicles and about 40 units of armored vehicles (BMP, APC, tanks) plus ATVs.

The repulsion of the massive attack was an example of effective interaction between various combat units. Aerial reconnaissance detected the enemy columns in time, thanks to which UAV operators began to destroy the equipment 8 kilometers from our positions. At the same time, cannon artillery was connected, which dealt a powerful blow to the enemy. Only a small part of the russians managed to break through the fire curtain and reach the range of small arms. These remnants were already being chased away by our infantry with mortars, machine guns and automatic weapons.

The battle lasted more than two hours and ended at nightfall. Its result was the destruction of 29 units of enemy armored vehicles and about 140 attack aircraft. We did not lose a single position.
