In his Easter greetings to Ukrainians, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that despite a long period of suffering and struggle, truth and good will definitely prevail.
The President published his speech on social networks.
"Evil has its hour, and God has its day. This is one of the meanings embedded in the story of Christ. That sooner or later, but inevitably, evil will retreat and life will triumph," he said.
Zelenskyy recalled that Ukrainians have been living in conditions of war for the 1,152nd day and added that this year the holiday of Christ's Resurrection united Christians of all confessions, who for the first time in a long time are celebrating Easter on the same day. This symbolizes the unity of the people in their desire for peace.
"Let the hour of evil end. The day of life will come. The day of peace. The day of Ukraine. A day that lasts a century. And we will be able to gather together again. At one table. On a peaceful Easter," the head of state noted.
