Before Easter, passenger traffic at the Ukrainian border has increased. Over 109,000 people crossed the border in a day.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has reported this on Telegram.
Over the past day, the state border of Ukraine was crossed by:
- for entry – 70,000 people;
- for exit – 49,000 people.
According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the checkpoints where the most intense traffic is recorded are "Shehyni", "Krakivets" and "Rava-Ruska". Less load is in "Nyzhankovychi", "Smilnytsia", "Hrushiv" and "Uhryniv".
The "Shehyni" checkpoint is undergoing repairs, so border guards warn of possible traffic jams.
"To speed up the border clearance process, additional border patrol units are working at the border, the number of shifts has been increased, and additional places for document inspection have been established," the border guards said in a statement.
The border guard service also warns of a possible increase in passenger traffic after the Easter holidays.
"We recommend planning your route in advance and choosing less busy checkpoints," the border guards added.
