On the night of Friday, April 18, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine using ground-based missiles and strike UAVs. This is stated in the message of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, the radio-technical troops of the Air Forces detected and escorted 43 enemy air attack vehicles – 6 missiles of various types and 37 strike UAVs (simulators of other types of unmanned aerial vehicles), including:
- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile (launch area – Crimea);
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – TOT of the Zaporizhzhia Region, Crimea);
- 37 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of simulator drones (launch areas – Millerovo, Kursk – russia).
The enemy air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:30 a.m., the shooting down of 26 air targets was confirmed:
- 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 23 Shahed attack UAVs.

Another 10 enemy simulator drones were lost in location.
The Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv Regions were affected by the enemy attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that russia began Good Friday, April 18, with ballistics, cruise missiles, and Shaheds' strikes on cities and civilians.
