On the morning of April 18, russian invaders launched a missile strike on a densely populated area of Kharkiv, four enemy missile strikes were recorded in the city.
The mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, has reported this.
The mayor reportedly spoke about "hitting a high-rise building", and added that "people may be under the rubble".
"The strikes on Kharkiv were carried out with ballistic missiles with cluster munitions. That is why the affected areas are very large. One person died. Among the injured is a child," Terekhov said.
He specified that more than 20 apartment buildings and more than 30 private houses were damaged.
Also, according to the State Emergency Service, a building of a civil infrastructure facility was partially destroyed.
Rescuers unblocked the body of the deceased from under the rubble.
According to preliminary data, more than 60 people were injured.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 13 people were hospitalized in city hospitals, two of them children; four people are in serious condition.
Recall that on the evening of April 3, the russian occupiers attacked the city of Kharkiv with drones. Hits were recorded in residential buildings and an administrative building. As of this morning, 35 wounded were reported, and 4 people were pulled out from under the rubble.
