Serbia wants to take part in military parade in Moscow on May 9

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he plans to travel to Moscow for the May 9 parade. Serbian military personnel are expected to arrive in the russian capital with him to take part in the parade.

This was reported by the Associated Press.

One of the Serbian military units has expressed a desire to take part in the parade on Red Square on May 9 and help organize the event.

"We will soon be under pressure for participation in the event in Moscow, which we have already announced," Vučić said.

The European Union has already warned Vučić that his trip to Moscow could complicate Serbia's EU accession process.

In particular, the head of diplomacy of the European Parliament, Kaja Kallas, urged European leaders not to visit Moscow on Victory Day.

"It has been clearly discussed and voiced by various member states that any participation in the parades or celebrations on May 9 in Moscow will not be taken lightly by the European Union, given that russia is waging a full-scale war in Europe," she stressed.

As a reminder, Aleksandar Vučić believes that Ukraine has lost the most from russia's full-scale invasion, while China and the United States have won.
