On the night of Wednesday, April 16, russian troops launched 97 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 57 of them, another 34 drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of April 16 (from 08:30 pm on April 15), the enemy attacked with 97 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - RF) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).

"As of 9:30 am, it has been confirmed that 57 Shahed attack UAVs (other types of UAVs) have been shot down in the east, north, center and south of the country. 34 enemy simulator UAVs were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
The Sumy, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Poltava Regions were affected by the enemy attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of April 15, the russians launched an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile and 52 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 26 UAVs, and another 19 drones were lost in location.
