A member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, a member of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina, reported that some MPs from the Servant of the People propose to oblige all citizens of Ukraine to submit a declaration annually.
She said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News Agency.
"I have already heard a proposal from two "Servants" to oblige all citizens of Ukraine to submit a declaration annually in order to control all financial processes," she said.
The MP spoke about such proposals from the monomajority in the context of the government's idea of revealing banking secrecy.
"I also draw attention to the situation with declarants. The NACP (National Agency on Corruption Prevention) today has every opportunity to obtain from banks a detailed transcript of the movement of funds in accounts," she explained.
According to Yuzhanina, the obligation of every citizen to declare will be "horror" due to the wrong approach to identifying violations.
