On the night of April 4, the russian Shahed carried out a massive raid on the Dnipro airport. As a result of the attack on the hangar, 4 civilian planes were completely destroyed.
This was reported by the head of the consulting company Friendly Avia Support, Oleksandr Lanetskyi.
As Lanetskyi said, on April 4, one of the russian drones hit the hangar, which was used by the aircraft repair unit of the Windrose airline before the war.
As a result of the hit, the hangar completely burned down, and with it four civilian planes: Airbus 321, Airbus 320, ATR72. One business jet was also destroyed.
"The airline hid the planes in the hangar to somehow protect them during the war, but it didn't help," he noted.
Total losses from the fire could exceed USD 100 million. Oleksandr Lanetskyi notes that this is the largest single loss for Ukrainian airlines since the battles for Hostomel in February-March 2022, when, among other things, the only copy of the world's largest aircraft, the AN225 Mriya, was lost.
