On April 8, the roof of the Jet Set nightclub collapsed during a party in the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo. As a result, 113 people killed, and more than 200 were injured.

The tragedy occurred during a concert by singer Rabbi Perez. The artist survived, he has already been pulled out of the rubble, he is in stable condition.
There were more than 300 guests at the party. Initially, 79 people were reported killed. Later, CGTN Europe reported 113 killed. However, the dismantling of the rubble is ongoing. Rescuers hope to get those who survived out of the ruins.

Among the killed are famous baseball players Octavio Dotel and Tony Blanco, the governor of the province of Monte Cristi, Nelsy Cruz. Meanwhile, the son of the Minister of Public Works, Eduardo Estrella, is among the missing.
At the moment, the causes of the roof collapse are not reported.
The country has declared three days of mourning for the killed at the Jet Set club.
