Defense Forces prevent occupants from building crossing over Chornyi Zherebets River - Khortytsia OSTG

The Armed Forces of Ukraine prevented the occupants from building a crossing over the Chornyi Zherebets River in the Kharkiv Axis, also during the past day, on April 8, 2025, in the Kharkiv Axis the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our troops in Vovchansk. This was reported by the press center of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG).

As noted, in the Kupyansk Axis the enemy's infantry attacks were successfully repelled near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove. The aggressor does not abandon attempts to create crossings for movement to the western bank of the Oskil River. The Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing.

"In the Lyman Axis, the occupation army attacked near the settlements of Nadiya, Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Zelena Dolyna and Kolodiazi. The enemy's assault actions were repelled. The enemy does not abandon its intentions to arrange a crossing over the Chornyi Zherebets River. To carry out these measures, the enemy used a tank bridgelayer, but due to the fire of our defenders, the crossing was not carried out. The enemy also unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position in the Serebriansk forestry," the report says.

It is also noted that in the Siversk Axis, units of the Defense Forces did not allow the tactical position near Serebrianka and Vasiukivka to deteriorate. The enemy suffered losses in personnel and retreated.

According to the Khortytsia OSTG, in the Kramatorsk and Toretsk Axes, the enemy carried out assault actions of varying intensity in the directions of Predtechyne, Bila Hora, Dyliyivka, Chasiv Yar, Petrivka, Leonidivka, and Toretsk. Our defenders did not allow any losses of positions, and the enemy received a worthy rebuff.

"In the Pokrovsk Axis, the aggressor army continued to attack in the areas of Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Shevchenko, Uspenivka, Oleksiyivka, Andriyivka, and Novoserhiyivka. The defenders repelled the enemy's assault actions," the Khortytsia OSTG emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of March, analysts from the Ukrainian DeepState project spoke about the situation that developed on the right bank of the Oskil River.
