MP Ariev states about possible conflict of interest in actions of Svyrydenko and Mylovanov

Member of Parliament from the European Solidarity faction stated about a possible conflict of interest of the First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyrydenko in connection with her receipt of fees from the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), whose president is Tymofii Mylovanov, against the background of personnel decisions regarding representatives of this structure in state-owned enterprises.

He wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to him, in 2024, Svyrydenko declared UAH 3.1 million in fees received from the KSE, part of which - over UAH 850,000 - she received back in 2023, when the Ministry of Economy nominated the president of the KSE, Tymofii Mylovanov, to the supervisory board of the state concern Ukroboronprom.

In 2024, according to Ariev, Mylovanov also joined the supervisory board of Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company as a representative of the state, and both candidacies were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, of which Svyrydenko is a member.

"That is, it turns out that the minister receives money in a structure headed by the one she recommends to the supervisory board and whom she approves in the supervisory boards! If this is not a conflict of interest, then what is it?" the MP added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a member of the supervisory board of the joint-stock company Ukrainian Defense Industry (formerly Ukroboronprom), former Minister of Economy Tymofii Mylovanov, earned almost UAH 10 million in 2023, but has a debt of USD 5,000.
