Terror should not be normalized: Ukraine convenes UN Security Council meeting over Kryvyi Rih strike

Ukraine has convened an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council over a missile attack by the aggressor country russia on Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk Region. Nine children were killed as a result of the strike.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha wrote about this on the X social network (formerly Twitter) on April 7.

"Ukraine initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council to draw attention to Russian crimes. Both meetings will be convened tomorrow and will help advance peace efforts and bring the perpetrators to justice," the Minister said in a statement.

He stressed that nine children were killed as a result of the strike on Kryvyi Rih - the largest number of Ukrainian children killed in a single attack since 2022.

Sybiha added that a decisive response from the world community to russia's crimes is crucial, as terror against civilians should not be normalized.

According to him, Ukraine calls for a strong condemnation and decisive action against russia.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of this morning, 33 people remained in hospitals who were injured as a result of the missile attack on Kryvyi Rih.

And yesterday, April 6, a 57-year-old man who was injured as a result of the russian strike died in the hospital. Thus, the total number of deaths increased to 20 people.

We will remind, the day before, cameras from the restaurant, which was targeted by the invaders, were published. There were no servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in it, as russian propaganda claims.
