According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk, new positions are being introduced in military units, battalions and hospitals - officers, sergeants and soldiers of social support. Their task is to assist military personnel, the wounded, their family members, as well as unit commanders in various matters.
"The General Staff has also been instructed to develop criteria that will allow these positions to be staffed with civilians through recruiting centers," he added.
Training of support specialists is currently underway, which includes military law, work with the wounded and prisoners of war, and communication with family members and units.
