On the night of April 6, 2025, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with air-, ground-, sea-based missiles and strike UAVs.
The press center of the Air Forces command has reported this.
According to preliminary data, the Air Forces radio-technical troops detected and escorted 132 enemy air attack vehicles – 23 missiles of various types and 109 strike UAVs (simulators of other types of drones), including:
- 9 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles (launched from Tu-95MS aircraft from the airspace of the Saratov Oblast – russia);
- 8 Kalibr cruise missiles (launched from the Black Sea);
- 6 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launch area Bryansk Oblast – russia);
- 109 Shahed type strike UAVs and other types of simulator drones.
The enemy air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 10:00 a.m., the downing of 53 air targets was confirmed:
- 6 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles;
- 6 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile;
- 40 Shahed type strike UAVs.
53 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences).
As a result of the enemy attack, the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy and Mykolaiv regions suffered.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles, and powerful explosions were heard in the capital.
