Due to the missile attack by russia on the territory of Ukraine, Poland took F-16 fighters into the air, and also put its ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems into full combat readiness.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has reported this.

"Due to the intensive activity of the strategic aviation of the Russian Federation, which strikes at facilities located, in particular, in the west of Ukraine, Polish and allied aviation began to operate in our airspace," the message says.

The Command adds that a pair of fighters were taken into the air, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on the highest level of readiness.
