Russia spreads fake about use of chemical weapons by AFU in Kursk Oblast to create alibi for itself – Center for Countering Disinformation

Russian propaganda has spread a fake about the use of chemical weapons by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine and create an alibi for its own army. In particular, the facts of the use of chemical weapons by the russians have recently been recorded on the Kupiansk axis.

The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council has reported this.

Thus, another wave of false information about the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk Oblast has appeared in the information space.

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that such allegations are quite typical of kremlin propaganda and have appeared periodically since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

"At the same time, such accusations are never supported by any evidence. The purpose of such actions by the Russian Federation is to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the world community and create an information alibi for the use of prohibited toxic substances by Russian troops. Similar facts have been repeatedly recorded on the front line," the report says.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the end of March, according to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko, the aggressor country russia began to actively use discharges of toxic substances. Several cases have already been reported recently on the Kupiansk axis.
