EU countries provide more than 50% of Ukraine's ammunition needs – Kallas

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, said that European countries already provide more than half of Ukraine's ammunition needs, recently outlined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the level of two million units.

Reuters reported this.

"These things are moving very well (...) we need to get the help to Ukraine as fast as possible. President Zelenskiy has said that they need five billion to have at least two million rounds," said Kaja Kallas before the start of the summit of EU defense ministers in Warsaw.

She noted that there are already various proposals, different countries are contributing to this matter.

"... so we have already over 50% of what is needed," she added.
