Pranksters hang portraits of Trump and Merz in Louvre next to Titian painting

Two German bloggers brought printed portraits of US President Donald Trump and future German Chancellor and CDU/CSU leader Friedrich Merz to the Louvre and hung them next to a Titian painting. The famous Mona Lisa was just a few meters away.

The bloggers posted the corresponding video on YouTube.

The pranksters printed out color portraits of Merz and Trump on a printer. These were processed photos of modern politicians in vintage uniforms. They bought photo frames of the right size at a stationery store and decorated them with double-sided tape.

The pranksters arrived in Paris by train. All the while, they filmed the preparations for the prank and their trip to the Louvre. At the entrance to the museum, they hid the portraits under their clothes and later put them in paper bags. In the exhibition hall, they took out portraits and attached them to the wall with double-sided tape. Nearby was Titian's painting "Woman with a Mirror", and on the other wall was the famous "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci.

After that, the bloggers and their friends quickly left the building. The security did not stop them, although they walked past the guys who were sticking the painting to the wall of the exhibition hall.

"We are the first of five people who were not caught, and we hung two portraits. Friedrich Merz and Donald Trump officially hang in the Louvre next to the Mona Lisa," they said after the action was successful.

The Louvre did not comment on the prank of the German bloggers.

Recall that Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Mona Lisa", which is currently exhibited in the Louvre in Paris, they want to remove to a separate room with a separate entrance.
