Amid ceasefire talks, number of combat clashes and use of guided aerial bombs by russia increased on the frontline in March. This was announced in a statement by the Defense Ministry, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Against the backdrop of the ceasefire negotiation process, the number of combat clashes at the front during March increased compared to February: 4,270 versus 3,274. Since the beginning of the year, 12,631 combat clashes have occurred. Enemy aircraft strikes on Ukrainian settlements and positions of the Defense Forces have not ceased. In March, the russian army aviation increased the use of guided aerial bombs - about 4,800 (in February - 3,370). In total, in the three months of 2025, enemy tactical aviation dropped 10,577 guided aerial bombs," the report says.

According to the Ministry of Defense, in 2024, the enemy used about 40,000 guided aerial bombs.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March, the British newspaper The Telegraph reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had found a way to combat the guided aerial bombs, which the army of the aggressor country, russia, has been dropping hundreds of on Ukrainian military positions and frontline settlements over the past year.
