On the night of Tuesday, April 1, russian troops launched 2 Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles over the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces managed to shoot them down.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"On the night of April 1 (around 9:00 pm on March 31), the enemy struck with two Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles from tactical aircraft in the Zaporizhzhia Axis. Both missiles were shot down by air defense," the report says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of April 1, russia did not carry out any attacks on the territory of Ukraine using Shahed-type strike drones for the first time in almost six months.
On the night of March 31, 49 russian drones were heading to Kyiv. Air defense forces destroyed 11 drones. There were no casualties or damage.
On the night of March 30, the aggressor country of russia attacked Ukraine with 111 Shahed-type strike UAVs and launched one ballistic missile. 65 drones were shot down.
In March, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed more than 4,000 air targets launched by the russian army over Ukraine. In addition, aviation destroyed 412 air targets, hit command posts, logistical facilities, as well as places where enemy manpower and military equipment were concentrated.
