On the third anniversary of the liberation of Bucha in the Kyiv Region from the russian occupiers, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with foreign delegations, honored the memory of the murdered Ukrainians. This was announced by the Office of the President, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The presidential couple installed lamps at the memorial located on the territory of the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called and All Saints of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The heads and representatives of the parliaments of Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and the European Parliament took part in the commemoration.

Also present were: Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak, and representatives of local authorities.



As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump's personal spiritual advisor Mark Burns visited Bucha, where mass killings of civilians by russian occupiers occurred.
Over the three years that have passed since the liberation of Bucha in the Kyiv Region from russian occupiers, police have identified more than 2,500 russian military personnel involved in atrocities against civilians.
The occupation of Bucha lasted 33 days: from February 27 to March 31, 2022, during which time russian aggression claimed the lives of 561 civilians, including 12 children.
