In the north of the Sumy Region, the activity of russian sabotage groups has increased. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko, during a telethon.
According to him, these units are trying to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and identify defensive lines for further shelling with heavy weapons.
He noted that the russians are not giving up attempts to operate in the Sumy Axis, in particular in areas bordering the Chernihiv and Kharkiv Regions. Their goal is to attack the positions of our military, expose the construction of defenses and adjust artillery and aviation fire.
At the same time, no attempts to break deep into the territory of Ukraine have been recorded over the past few days.
Demchenko also emphasized that russian troops are concentrating forces in the areas of the village of Lyptsi and the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv Region. The enemy is trying to expand the fighting in this region, but is not achieving its goals.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Siversk OSTG said that the russians have concentrated the largest number of forces near the Sumy Region.
Earlier, the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, reported that russia, with the help of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, is trying to expand the penetration zone into the Sumy Region and transfer the fighting from the Kursk Oblast to the territory of Ukraine.
In recent days, the number of air strikes on the border in the Sumy Region has increased. Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are also actively penetrating the territory of the region.
