Today, since the very morning, American reconnaissance aircraft have been patrolling near the southern borders of the Odesa Region. They are monitoring the situation in the Black Sea from the airspace of Romania. This helps to track the activity of russian forces in the region.
This is evidenced by data from the specialized portal Flightradar.
According to the portal, two aircraft are operating in the sky over the Black Sea – the Bombardier Challenger 650 Artemis and the Boeing P-8A Poseidon. The first is engaged in electronic reconnaissance, using modern scanning and wiretapping systems. It is able to detect objects at a long distance and counteract electronic warfare systems.
The Boeing P-8A Poseidon, which took off from the Sigonella Air Force Base in Italy, monitors maritime targets. Its main task is to track the movement of the enemy fleet and promptly transmit data to the Ukrainian military.
