Russia attacks Ukraine with 172 drones overnight: almost hundred shot down by air defense – AFU Air Forces

On the night of Saturday, March 29, russian troops launched 172 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 94 of them, another 69 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed about this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of March 29 (from 8 p.m. on March 28), the enemy attacked with 172 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all – the russian federation) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).

"As of 8:30 a.m., it has been confirmed that 94 Shahed attack UAVs (other types of drones) have been shot down in the north, east and center of the country. 69 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.

The russian attack affected the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Sumy Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, late on the evening of March 28, russian invaders attacked the city of Dnipro with drones.

The massive strike caused extensive destruction and fires.

4 people were killed and 21 were injured.
