On July 16, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the abolition of daylight saving time. However, the law has not yet come into effect due to the lack of a presidential signature.
This is according to the data on the card of the approved bill, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Back on August 21, 2024, a corresponding bill was sent to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for signature. As of March 28, it has not yet been signed. Only the signing and publication of the law was supposed to start working, but this has not happened for 7 months.
Accordingly, the rule on changing the hands still works.
Therefore, on Sunday, March 30, 2025 (at 3 am), the clock hands will need to be moved forward 1 hour - to daylight saving time.
In the event of a sudden signing of the law, which has not happened since August 21, 2024 (when the law was sent to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for signature), the agency will report this.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, BBC Ukraine in October 2024, citing sources in the presidential team, reported that Zelenskyy does not plan to sign the bill that cancels the further seasonal adjustment of clock hands after the transition to winter time.
