President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the European Union must be present at the negotiating table on a possible conclusion. The bloc should be represented by France and the United Kingdom.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Zelenskyy said this at a press conference following the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
According to him, the presence of Europe at the negotiating table is a clear position of Ukraine on the negotiation process.
"Today we agreed that Europe will be represented by France and the United Kingdom, Macron and Starmer (President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Keir Starmer - ed.)," Zelenskyy said.
The President added that this is a very important decision and Kyiv intends to convey it to its other partners, in particular the United States of America.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 26, the European Union stated that there are no prerequisites for easing or lifting sanctions against the aggressor country of russia.
Recall, on March 13, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the European Union intends to strengthen support for Ukraine, but in return demands a place at the negotiating table.
