PrivatBank deputy board chair Kaczmarek resigns

Deputy Chairman of the Board for Digital Transformation (Chief Digital Transformation Officer, CDTO) Mariusz Kaczmarek has resigned from his position from March 26, 2025.

This is announced in the bank's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Until the completion of the competitive selection procedure for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board (for Digital Transformation), Chairman of the Board Mikael Björknert will be temporarily responsible for managing the IT departments, the Information Security Department, and the Remote Customer Support Department.

Mariusz Kaczmarek has held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operations at PrivatBank, and also headed the IT department at the bank since December 2020.

Prior to that, he held the position of member of the bank's Board for Operations for a year.

Previously, he worked as an executive director at the Polish company EY (Ernst & Young), chairman of the board of Compfort Meridian Polska S.A., and before that, chief operating officer, member of the board of the Polish Eurobank S.A.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, PrivatBank increased its profit in 2024 by 6% to a record-breaking UAH 40.1 billion.

100% of PrivatBank is owned by the state represented by the Ministry of Finance.
