Russian attack helicopters were eliminated by HIMARS missile strikes. According to the Ukrainian military, as a result of a joint operation of the Special Operations Forces (SOF), the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, the Missile Forces and artillery, two enemy Ka-52 helicopters and two Mi-8 helicopters were destroyed.
This was reported by the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine.
"Special Operations Forces in cooperation with the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, the Missile Forces and artillery destroyed two enemy Ka-52 helicopters and two Mi-8 helicopters," the message says.
According to the SOF, all four helicopters were destroyed behind enemy lines, where the russians created a special platform for the jump of aircraft - a camouflaged position for the rapid movement of helicopters or sudden attacks on the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The targets were destroyed with HIMARS M30A2 ammunition, each of which contains 180,000 tungsten fragments.
"The enemy once again thought that he was unattainable in the deep rear. We have once again proven that there is nothing unattainable for the SOF," the Ukrainian special forces emphasized.
The Ka-52 is a combat helicopter that the russian troops use for reconnaissance and strikes on ground targets. The enemy uses Mi-8 transport helicopters to transport troops and cargo, as well as to provide support during ground operations.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier, the SOF soldiers captured 9 soldiers of the aggressor state of russia in the Pokrovsk Axis, and also liberated an industrial building from the presence of the enemy.
