A meeting between Ukraine and the American delegation began in Saudi Arabia. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reported this in his X-account on Sunday, March 23.
Umerov noted that the parties will discuss strengthening security and bringing about a just peace in Ukraine.
“The agenda includes proposals to protect energy facilities and critical infrastructure. Today, we’re working through a number of complex technical issues - our delegation includes energy experts as well as military representatives from the naval and air components,” the Defense Minister wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 22, US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steven Witkoff said that the result of the current stage of negotiations between Ukraine and the United States is the establishment of a temporary ceasefire for 30 days.
On March 22, The Washington Post reported that on March 24, representatives of Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia will arrive in Saudi Arabia to participate in ceasefire negotiations.
As a reminder, on March 18, US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with russian dictator putin, as a result of which the Kremlin leader agreed to stop strikes on energy infrastructure facilities.
