During massive drone attack on Kyiv, studio and office of OBOZ publication damaged - NUJU

During the massive drone attack on Kyiv on the night of March 23, the studio and office of the OBOZ publication, which is among the top 10 news sites in Ukraine, suffered significant damage. This was reported by the head of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) Serhii Tomilenko on Facebook.

"The blast wave shattered windows and doors, and the OBOZ TV video studio, where broadcasts for the main website of the media group were recorded daily, suffered significant damage," the message says.

Also in a comment for NUJU, the editor-in-chief of the publication Lesia Hasych spoke about the greatest damage from the russian attack.

"The studio building was mainly damaged, because it is closer to the room through which the hit arrived. The central entrance was blown up. There is damage to several cameras that were fixed closer to the entrance. We don't know yet by the studio light, because we were cut off from electricity. But thank God that everyone is intact. We will restore everything, the main thing is life," Hasych reported.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine also expresses full solidarity with our colleagues from the OBOZ publication. The NUJU will inform our international partners - the International and European Federations of Journalists, the American Committee to Protect Journalists and other colleagues - about this latest russian attack, as a result of which the editorial office and video studio of the leading Ukrainian online media outlet were damaged.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russian federation attacked Kyiv with strike drones at night, and drones were recorded falling in various areas.

Three people were killed in Kyiv as a result of the drone attack, and 7 residents of the capital were injured.
