Ukraine has officially submitted to the Republic of Estonia a list of military assistance worth EUR 100 million, which includes drones, watercraft and medical equipment. Contracts for the procurement of products are already being prepared for conclusion.
The Estonian Ministry of Defense has reported this.
On March 21, Ukraine officially submitted to Estonia a list of wishes for military assistance, consisting of products from Estonian defense enterprises worth EUR 100 million.
The selection included unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles, watercraft, medical equipment and other materials offered by Estonian manufacturers. The quantity and delivery dates of this assistance remain confidential.
Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur emphasized that Estonia has pledged to support Ukraine in the amount of 0.25% of its GDP per year for military needs, including the purchase of products from local defense companies.
According to him, the feedback from Ukraine allows for the efficient and rapid delivery of the necessary materials.
"I am very pleased with the high level of the Estonian defense industry and the wide range of products. As a next step, the National Defense Investment Center will conclude contracts for the procurement of selected Ukrainian products as soon as possible so that the necessary materials arrive without delay," said Katri Raudsepp, Chair of the Expert Committee on Support Measures for Ukraine.
Estonia will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, contributing to the training of military personnel and the development of an IT coalition to support Ukraine, together with Luxembourg.
In addition, the Baltic and Nordic countries are working on equipping and training a Ukrainian brigade by 2025.
