Currently, vladimir putin has not been given a specific deadline for ending the war in Ukraine. However, such a "deadline" may still be in the future.
US President Donald Trump said this in an interview with reporters on Saturday, March 22.
"I think it (setting a deadline for a ceasefire – ed.) will happen," Trump said.
He noted that putin did not reject his proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. Trump also added that russia has "a lot of sanctions, probably more sanctions than anyone else."
Trump also commented on the nightly shelling of Ukraine and russia. He said that last night was "pretty tense."
"Last night was pretty tense for both sides, as you probably saw. But I think we'll get it over with pretty soon," Trump said.
