MHP (Kyiv), one of the largest poultry producers, signed an agreement on March 20 to acquire shares from 41% of shareholders of UVESA, one of the leaders of the Spanish food industry in the field of poultry production.
This is stated in the company's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The statement says that under the terms of the agreement, MHP acquired UVESA shares at a fixed price of EUR 225 per share, with the possibility of an additional payment of up to EUR 21.43 per share if certain obligations are fulfilled after the closing of the deal.
Other UVESA shareholders can also join the deal within a month on similar terms.
The settlement for the shares will be made at the time of closing the deal.
It is noted that the completion of the transaction will take place after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals, in particular concentration permits, as well as the permission of the European Commission under the EU regulation on foreign subsidies.
On March 4, 2025, the Spanish government officially approved MHP's strategic investment in UVESA and its subsidiaries.
UVESA is one of the leaders in the Spanish food industry market in the field of poultry meat production.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, MHP intends to acquire one of the largest chicken producers in Spain.
At the end of December 2024, MHP (Kyiv) received confirmation from the Antimonopoly Committee on permission to acquire 100% of corporate rights in the limited liability company Ukrainian Meat Farm.
MHP is a vertically integrated complex of enterprises for the production of chicken meat, hatching eggs, feed, is engaged in crop production, processing 360,000 hectares of land, produces chicken meat under the name Nasha Riaba.
