Russians shell Sudzha gas metering station, AFU not involved – General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied the accusations of the aggressor state russia that the Defense Forces shelled the Sudzha gas metering station. According to the agency, the station was shelled by the russian army with artillery.

The General Staff reported this on Facebook.

"The Russian Federation is stepping up a discrediting campaign against Ukraine. Thus, the enemy accused our Defense Forces of shelling the Sudzha gas metering station. These accusations are groundless," the message says.

The General Staff stated that the station in question was repeatedly shelled by the russians themselves. In particular, last summer it was bombed by guided aerial bombs, and three days ago the russians again hit it with KABs.

"Today, the enemy has already intensified its planned destructive information influence with another provocation – it shelled this facility with artillery," the General Staff reported.

The General Staff also added that earlier the russian troops used the main gas pipeline pipe for the covert movement of their units.

"The Russians continue to produce numerous fakes and seek to mislead the international community. We ask you to trust only official sources, check the information and not succumb to manipulation," the General Staff emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that against the backdrop of the ceasefire negotiations, enemy propagandists continue to issue disinformation messages about alleged crimes by Ukrainian military personnel in the Kursk Oblast.
