Ukraine received EUR 1 billion from the European Union as part of the ERA initiative.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
This is the second tranche from the EU, secured by revenues from frozen russian assets. The funds will be directed to priority state budget expenditures.
In total, under the G7 initiative, European partners have already provided Ukraine with EUR 4 billion.
"Frozen russian assets should work for the benefit of our state. And we will work to completely confiscate them and direct them to the reconstruction of Ukraine," Shmyhal concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine received the first tranche from Canada in the amount of CAD 2.5 billion (about USD 1.7 billion) as part of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) initiative from frozen russian assets.
