On the night of Thursday, March 20, russian troops launched 171 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 75 of them, another 63 drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of March 20 (from 07:00 pm on March 19), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 171 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - RF) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
"As of 08:30 am, it has been confirmed that 75 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones have been shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Regions. 63 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.
The Kirovohrad, Sumy and Donetsk Regions were affected by the russian attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of March 19, the russians launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 145 attack drones at Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 72 drones, and another 56 UAVs were lost in location.
