US President Donald Trump said that he had a meaningful phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Trump wrote about this on his social network Truth Social on Wednesday, March 19.
"Just finished a very meaningful phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It lasted about an hour. The main part of the discussion was focused on yesterday's conversation with putin to coordinate the positions of russia and Ukraine on their demands and needs. We are moving in the right direction," the US President said.
Trump stressed that he would instruct Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz to prepare an accurate statement of the key issues that were discussed, which will be made public in the near future.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 18, US President Donald Trump and russian dictator vladimir putin began a telephone conversation at 4:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. GMT).
The conversation between Trump and putin lasted about 2.5 hours.
Trump described his conversation with russian dictator vladimir putin as "good" and "productive."
