German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that russian dictator putin is "playing games" with Ukraine by demanding that military and intelligence support be stopped.
The Guardian reports.
"We see that attacks on civilian infrastructure have not decreased at all on the first night after this supposedly groundbreaking, big phone call between putin and US President Donald Trump," Pistorius said.
The minister also called "unacceptable" the Kremlin's insistence that a "key condition" for peace is a complete cessation of Western military and intelligence support for the Ukrainian army.
"It's very transparent," Pistorius said, adding that putin's goal is to prevent Kyiv's supporters "from continuing to support Ukraine and to give it the opportunity to really defend itself if another attack occurs, during or after the ceasefire."
Putin agreed to a 30-day ceasefire on the condition that Ukraine stops receiving foreign military aid and intelligence. In addition, Kyiv must stop mobilization.
