On the night of Wednesday, March 19, russian troops launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 145 strike drones over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 72 drones, another 56 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of March 19 (from 07:00 pm on March 18), the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M missiles, four S-300 missiles and 145 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 08:00 am, it was confirmed that 72 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types were shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa Regions. 56 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.

The russian attack affected the Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, and Chernihiv Regions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of March 18, the russians launched 137 strike drones over Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 63 drones, and another 64 failed to reach their targets.
