Banks' credits to economy up 1.4% to UAH 1,121 billion in February

In February, total credits commercial banks granted to the corporate sector and private persons increased by 1.4% to UAH 1,121.297 billion.

The National Bank announced this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of loans in the economy has increased by 1.3% from UAH 1,106.8 billion.

The volume of hryvnia loans to legal entities for the reporting month increased by 2.7% to UAH 585.610 billion.

The volume of loans issued to businesses in foreign currency decreased by 0.4% to UAH 242.0 billion.

The volume of loans issued to the population for the reporting period increased by 0.8% to UAH 282.036 billion.

In February, interest rates on hryvnia loans for businesses decreased by 1.3 pp to 15.4%, for the population - by 0.1 pp to 35%.

On foreign currency loans, rates for businesses were 6.2%.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2024, banks' credits to the economy increased by 10.9% from UAH 997.877 billion.

In 2023, banks' credits to the economy decreased by 1% from UAH 1,007.648 billion.

In 2022, banks' credits to the economy decreased by 3.5% from UAH 1,044.049 billion.

In 2021, total credits commercial banks granted to the corporate sector and private persons increased by 10% from UAH 948.386 billion to UAH 1,043.694 billion.
