German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that Berlin will increase the amount it intends to allocate to Ukraine by EUR 3 billion in 2025.

According to Dzerkalo Tyzhnia, Baerbock told reporters about this before the meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs.

According to her, tomorrow, March 18, an amendment will be made to the German constitution, which will allow for a significant increase in debt for defense financing.

Baerbock emphasized that this will allow for greater support for Ukraine.

"We are finally allocating another EUR 3 billion to support Ukraine in 2025. This means that Germany will continue to provide Ukraine with EUR 7 billion, as it did last year," Baerbock said.

She emphasized that Germany's goal is a strong and sovereign Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a survey by the Institute for Public Opinion Research (INSA), commissioned by German media, showed that half of German residents oppose continued aid to Ukraine.

We also informed that 49% of Germans supported the idea of sending the German Armed Forces to Ukraine to participate in a possible peacekeeping mission.
