The Ukrainian military struck the fortifications of the russian occupiers on the Pokrovsk axis. The special operation called "Earthquake" was successfully carried out by soldiers of the 6th battalion of the Azov 12th special forces brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
According to the Telegram channel of the 12th Azov brigade, the purpose of the operation was to destroy enemy positions by means of a series of explosions.
"The occupiers use any shelters to accumulate forces and prepare attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces," the brigade noted.
The fighters were tasked with carrying out a fire raid and blowing up enemy strongholds near Pokrovsk.
"This is part of our daily combat work, which helps not only to effectively defend ourselves, but also to move forward," the military reported.
The commander of one of the units with the call sign "Deputat" said that thorough preparation was carried out before the attack: technical equipment was checked, tactical maneuvers were adjusted, and optimal routes for return were determined.
During the task, the military carried equipment weighing about 20 kg and operated in open terrain, which made camouflage difficult, especially in adverse weather conditions.
Despite this, the Azov soldiers successfully blew up enemy positions and returned to their lines without losses.
The military released a video demonstrating the preparation, progress, and results of the Earthquake operation.
Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the situation at the front. The Head of State stated that the situation on the Pokrovsk axis has stabilized.
