Russian dictator vladimir putin has made it very clear that "Ukraine is not the final stop in his campaign for the imperial past", Dutch defense minister Ruben Brekelmans said, as quoted by The Guardian.
"President Zelenskyy should not agree to a deal that will lead to some kind of interwar period with aggression constantly looming on the horizon. He should negotiate from a position of strength," the minister said.
"Putin has made it clear that Ukraine is not the final stop in his campaign for the imperial past. He will continue his aggressive, aggressive efforts to increase the influence and territory of the russian empire... This is a dream for putin, and it is a nightmare for the rest of Europe," Brekelmans said.
He believes that "it is time to let putin wake up and understand that his dreams are not reality".
"No matter how brutal this war becomes, Ukrainians cannot be silenced. Ukrainians are fighting on the front lines of our freedom and security against russian tyranny and aggression. This is the front line of Europe's freedom and security," the Dutch defense minister added.
Recall that Ukraine is ready to immediately implement a 30-day ceasefire.
